    Imperial Carnival Vase
    Description
    : This vase is sometimes offered as a hatpin holder. It is Imperial Carnival Glass No. 286B 5 inch 4 toed Open Edge Lace Edge Vase. Shown in book Imperial Glass Encyclopedia Volume 2, page 422 and described on p. 396. Crisscross glass pattern in amber glass with purple undertones.
    The color is possible smoke. It does not appear to be dark enough to be Rubigold. I have not been able compare side by side with verified smoke or Rubigold
